Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is an Hollywood writer and actress that has won critical acclaim for her talents. Sagittarius by birth, Julianne Moore was born December 3 of 1960 in North Carolina. She is the oldest out of the three children who were born to Peter Moore Smith (a paratrooper) as well as Anne Smith who was a psychologist. She is of English and Scottish ancestry. Her father was a professional who often moved her family. She had a difficult time making and keeping acquaintances. Moore was able to start acting in plays after she relocated with her family to Germany. She continued her studies in Boston University, graduating in 1983 with an B.F.A. Thesis in Theater. Moore moved to New York after graduating and began her career in off-Broadway stage. In the episode The Edge of Night in 1985, Moore appeared in her first on-screen appearance. She played the dual role as Sabrina Hughes and Frannie Hughes in As the World Changes, which was her breakthrough. The show ran until 1988, and she won the Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 she was the first film actress to make her debut on cinema in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie which she later called an awful low-budget movie. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), both Robert Altman productions, were her debut films. The film was critically acclaimed and Moore received multiple nominations. Moore was first cast as the lead role for the film Safe (1996). Steven Spielberg chose Moore to portray the role of the protagonist for Jurassic Park: The Lost World. The film was one of the most watched films of that year. In 1999, she appeared in the critically-acclaimed Magnolia and was awarded a SAG nomination for her performance. The Hours, a 2002 film that she co-starred in alongside Nicole Kidman and Meryl Strreep received nominations for nine Academy Awards. Moore was also featured in The Forgotten 2004, Freedomland, Shelter and Shelter 2010. In 2014 she appeared in Non-Stop. Moore has appeared in many television shows and movies. She has starred in a number of movies and TV shows. Her latest role was When You Finish Save the World 2022. In her role as a Hollywood actor and writer for children The actress has a long-standing reputation. In 2007, she published Freckleface Strawberry and quickly became an N.Y.T. Best-seller, it was also adapted into series and a music. Her book of 2013 entitled My Mom is a Foreigner also became a top-selling. Moore is a renowned actor and writer. Her personal life, is therefore in the realm of the public domain. She was a bridesmaid to John Robin from 1984 until 1995. Bart Freundlich has given her two kids. Moore later got married to him in 2003. Moore's life revolves around her friends, career and family.
